Retriever pencil portrait - a surprise birthday present

This pencil portrait was a surprise birthday present for Jenny's Dad.  I never got to meet Jenny face to face as all the arrangemets were via email, and from Jenny's photo's.  When the portrait was finished, I packaged it very carefully in bubble wrap, protective cardboard and  waterproof high visibility bag, then posted by Royal Mail special delivery, so that it would arrive the next day.


 

Charlie, golden labrador

Charlie, was a very much loved Golden Labrador who had sadly passed away when his family commissioned  this portrait.  Fortunately they had some excellent photo's of him and so I was able to paint his portrait for them to remember him by.
